The adaptation of Weissenborn's hollowneck design to a travel size guitar, combined with my unique floating fretboard system, results in a suprisingly loud and full toned instrument. Customers have been consistently impressed with these slide guitars as have I. They pump out sufficient volume to be heard clearly while playing acoustically with other full size instruments.
Add a pickup and they can be amazing stage instruments, giving you anything from sweet acoustic Hawaiian tones to crunchy distorted lap steel.
In 2003, my Weissenborn Travel Slides were featured in Andy Volk's excellent book, 'Lap Steel Guitar'.
As one customer noted, 'do not be put off
by its size, the tone is suprisingly full
and complex'.
Another customer says, 'Your travel guitar
plugged-in pumps out better bass response
than my original Style 1 Weissenborn
plugged-in.'
